This Information Security Training Program provides a practical, aviation-focused introduction to the principles of digital and physical information protection. Designed specifically for blue-collar personnel working in aircraft maintenance, operations, and supporting technical environments, the course translates regulatory requirements into clear, real-world actions that protect safety, compliance, and operational integrity. Learners explore the foundations of information security, including the CIA triad, human factors, and the relationship between secure information handling and flight safety.
Across six interactive modules, the program examines real threats faced within maintenance environments—from phishing and malware to data integrity risks, weak authentication practices, and vulnerabilities in work devices or removable media. Through scenarios, case studies, and frequent knowledge-check quizzes, participants develop the skills needed to safeguard technical records, protect personal and operational data, secure laptops and terminals, and follow approved procedures for system access, reporting, and incident response. Each module connects directly to the requirements of EASA Part-IS, Part-145, and CAMO.
The course concludes with guidance on incident reporting, Just Culture principles, and building a positive security mindset within the workplace. Two downloadable aviation cyber incident case studies offer additional context, linking theory to real-world industry events. Upon completing all modules and achieving the required assessment scores, learners receive a certificate demonstrating compliance with organizational and regulatory information security expectations.
